Like I’m glad I’m didn’t get on methamphetamine and split/
From my family, like friends who used to live/
In our upper middle area and played cricket there when we were kids/

It’s getting pretty heavy when I realise/
I became the very person that I used fear by/
Mixing binge drinking and mental illness, I theorised/
Jumping off the fucking Bolte Bridge - but I’m still alive/

My writing's therapy first, it helps to build the fire/
That was once extinguished by the blankets of the ill advisors/
In spite of any philistine, I will survive/
Because I’ve learned that every cloud has got a silver lining/
